The Multnomah County Drainage District board announces Reed Wagner as new Executive Director

The Multnomah County Drainage District (MCDD) board is pleased to announce that Reed Wagner will serve as the new Executive Director of the organization. The recruitment process was initiated upon David Hendricks’ announcement that he was preparing for retirement. Mr. Hendricks will continue to serve the agency on special projects.

Mr. Wagner most recently served as Deputy Chief Operating Officer for the State of Oregon. He also served as Policy Director and Parks and Environmental Services Director for Metro. Prior to his work in the public sector, Mr. Wagner worked in the broadcast and new-media industries in executive management, project management and marketing capacities. He lives in NE Portland with his wife and 3-year-old daughter.

Mr. Wagner will start with MCDD on July 10th.

The MCDD controls flooding and removes storm water for residents and businesses. They also serve three other drainage districts along the south shore of the Columbia River (Peninsula Drainage District 1, Peninsula Drainage District 2 and the Sandy Drainage District). The four districts collectively extend from the edge of Smith and Bybee Lakes on the west, to the Sandy River on the east.
